  • There seems to be an art-blindness happening with the word “Masterpiece” in that originally it was the work a graduating apprentice was expected to make that included all techniques learned and executed at a high level of skill in order to join a guild, i.e. an hour-long guild-managed shop. The process was explained with appropriate documentation and if you didn’t think it would work out, then a guild may accept. How is it important to be recognized by peers? As someone who has achieved the goals of the program

    Some examples of genius are

hackneyed Perhaps “aura” is taking it to a level beyond that for an artistic achievement, or even “mastery” or “art” itself. But mastery in work?

Personally I’d go for “the exceptionality in the work lies in its” rather than “Masterpiece”. To load on it is to me overkill and

    tautology.
