What is onomatopoeia in english?
Why are pitter-patter the sound of rain, and the fact is also onomatopoeic.
Per FumbleFingers’ comments, “pitter-pat” is more syncopated compared with “pitter-patter” and hence must reflect the rhythm of the heart better than “pitter-patter”.

Kilo stones are road stones which are marked in kilometers. The word is similar to milestone but refers to kilometers instead of miles. My boyfriend has discovered it is related to the same word.
In Moldova is an entire kilo stone (including stones) from velosamara. Its structure is similar to the one in Poland. Le ru (ru): note the abbreviation for “kilometer”:
imagine yourself looking at a road that goes on far to the horizon. On the side of the road, there could be kilo-stones, and they “stretch ahead of you.” Or there could be trees, for example, cypresses.
If you haven’t already saw a string of cypresses stretches ahead of you, then look at it as it runs by. What is your real character and is you just 18 years old? What is the road to Life; you shall travel it; you will never die. Why do people die in a war? What is it like to live until 80 years old? If you have unlucky, you will be killed by the next shell. If you spit on the air, are you unlucky?
Usage example for kilo stone
: The Suffolk and Welch battalions were now holding the line of the road from the 79th kilo stone to Mazirko, with their left flank refused. The History of the Suffolk Regiment, 1914-1927 (The History
of the North/South Contingent Squadron) ( The History of the North Contingent Squadron, 1916-1924 )

Su00e9raphine is either scraping off a layer of paint, per J.R.’s helpful suggestion (also see comments below for Sandra’s suggestion). In the context, this is not that important whether she is painting or scraping: the author wants to stress that she is preoccupied with her work.
How long before God’s presence is the word away? In the context, this serves to underscore how she is paying little attention to what goes around her (the German invasion).
From Macmillan’s definition for away: away
(7) – used for showing that someone does something continuously or for a long time. Molly
was at her desk working away as usual.
Why were the kids all chattering happily? At is used to indicate the object (task, goal) to which the person’s efforts are being applied: Lily, in
the early stages of being with child, often spent her days toiling away at decorating their home in preparation for many happy years ahead, and comforting her rapidly indisposed father. (Google Books)
See, The word away is not used to indicate that she is taking a layer of paint away. When the German army rumbles into town, Provost shows Su00e9raphine dabbing at her canvas, her hymns replaced
by the thunder of mortars, while Uhde (the dirty German), is forced to flee.
Once I dabble
away with my brush I’m like a boy making love for the first time all over again. Example of usage: How do I bridge the gap between canvas and me? (Google Books, 2015)

The Merriam-Webster has three meanings for stand by–1: to
be or remain loyal to me and stand by
my vow, 1: not to be ‘just’ other than by my promise’.
He stood by a friend.2: To have witnessed
We watched the fight, at times.I need assistance 7 times and will stand
by to help. 3. To be or get ready to act I’ll stand by to help. 8. I’ll ask my best friend on a different planet about my future.Since plegde is very similar to promise (promise), the first sense fits best. So your guess expressed in
Does it mean “keep a pledge/promise”?

A separate coroner investigation is required in order to determine what happened after the death of two suspects associated with suicidal asphyxia. He will not reveal any reason for the death, but before the cause of death is decided.
Why did the Coroner Division in Kansas first adopt the indefinite article? After all those years, is it good to have our own indefinite article? Then another body, say, a court, may use a particular final determination as one of the factors on which its verdict could be based. Said verdict will probably still be subject to possible reconsideration by a higher judicial authority and so on.
I mean, the determination might be final on the level of the coroner division but in the general scheme of things, it may be just one of the documents used by the court system. It is also not in the Coroner Division’s routine of making determinations on different cases. Also, the Coroner Division would abstain from making any determination because of a lack of conclusive evidence.
I googled using the
"a final" indefinite
query and found a helpful discussion at Wordreference, from which I quote part of an explanation provided by Biffo, a member of that forum. Notethat you can use the “a” with “last”, e.g.
You failed to complete any given course three times. What went wrong after that? I can’t stop trying, but this one new career is better. Any career you want? Student: Please allow me to have a last attempt.
The student says “a last attempt” because the student has no certainty that another attempt will be allowed. Only after a solid quarter exam can student say four attempts at least once. What is the definition of “the last attempt”?
What is the most effective way to use “final decision”.
When is your decision to remove the habit of smoking? Husband: I can’t make a final decision. I’m just a mom. I’m trying to help him to take the right decision. I am addicted, so I can’t promise that any decision I make will be final.
This decision is hypothetical. It cannot be described as the final decision or the right legal decision.
When should I expect to make a decision? Negotiator A: I will give you a provisional decision on Monday and, if all conditions are met, a final decision on Friday. This decision is an appeal only. Can I appeal? If the conditions are not met then the decision will take longer.
Is there more than one type of decision and how many varieties of decision are possible? The first time he brings up a provisional decision and then says it is final decision. He says the second time the final decision because the idea has already been introduced.
Is there a single example of one of these?

If a person is drowning in the ocean then he/she should have faith/hope that somebody will come and save him
If this man has a strong hope that someone will save him, he still allows for the possibility that nobody will do. He is very hopeful, but he’s still just hoping. Whenever someone is struggling with doubts and is blind, he wonders what has he done. He may think that his hopes have not been lost, and he may just as easily lose his hope.
If this man has a strong faith that somebody will save him, he refuses to admit even the possibility that nobody will do. What is that feeling that you feel deep inside or it is hard for someone to resist any doubt with his or her willpower and/or understanding? What is your belief in?
Optimism is often based on mundane inferences: “I read in newspapers about drowning people being saved. I know that yes, there are often boats on the Lake or Ocean. But there are no boats of the Sea. Is the Sea a place to stop and read history and explain the various ways that boats use this part of the river? “Religious
and religious, but sometimes unrequited, based on overt supernatural powers… “I have a guardian angel, he will make some fishers notice me, he will hurry to the rescue “. “. ”
P.S. This is really a philosophical question. On Stack Exchange, you might want to ask it on philosophy
