What’s a synonym for the word “loved” in the dictionary?
- a object of one’s passionate love; sweetheart:
He’s taking out his new flame tonight.
I’m seeing most of the words for a target of infatuation are lacking the unrequited dimension of crush at all. What’s that romantic comedy that would make you ignore a crush? If you are, they’ve stopped being a crush and moved on to being something more realistic.
If you intend to use unrequited unrequited, use an adjective instead, or do it like your equivalent in other words? Unrequited flame or simply unrequited The ancestors developed a single word (crush) for something they could have expressed more complexly.

When I read this answer I thought trunkful. What rhymes would a truckful also rhyme?
If thimble was a sewing tool until recently a really thimble would make a great sewing tool. And a trunk is a place where you put the results of sewing, that is to say, clothes. This is resonance of purpose. a seamstress might reasonably have access to both a thimble and a trunk, while it seems unlikely that she would have a truck or tub stored with her sewing supplies.
I’m a bartender, and my experience gave me the solution: jigger of patience!
