I would want to do this…if it hadn’t been compulsory. How would I write it? This
answer is grammatically incorrect, as it mixes the present and past unreal conditional.
The past unreal uses past perfect tense in the dependent clause, and would + Have + Past Participle in the independent clause. How must I e get out of a mandatory education?
The present unreal uses the past tense in the dependent clause and would + present tense in the independent clause. * * * * Why would you do something important but be non compulsory?
Are general conditional sentences ok?
