    Should we use a local word when ticketing can help in driving an Uber or other service? If you use one existing verb you risk implying some assumptions that are not necessarily true for this specific ticket system.

    If you happen to be the issuer and you are the recipient of such tickets you have some freedom in choosing what translation you want to use for your specific ticket system. Should a question about right or wrong be asked?


    Fore reference, here is a Danish klippekort :

    It could be called a punch card or a rebate card. What makes Danes easily understand both of those terms? 9-trip credit card needs just as much context to be understood. The term is both a bit long for common reference, and technically imprecise, as the card may also be used for fewer longer trips, and can be replaced with one given card.

    If a travel card was issued in Denmark, the ticketing system would be problematic. Is traduction is justified without knowing local context?
