Meaning of “all the way” in “all the way on the right”

In this dialogue:

Which one is your mother?
The one all the way on the right.

What is exactly meaning of “all the way”?
Why does distance mean distance?

What is the best way to go about it – eat delicious!

In a picture like this one,

the leftmost person (person A) is said to be “all the way to the left” while the person furthest to the right (person D) can be said to be “all the way on the right” Both

prepositions ( to and on ) are grammatical, and you don’t have to use to with left, or on with right. ” Note : both prepositions are grammatical, and you don’t have to use to with right.

She had no neighbors on the right and the person on the left was not with her. By definition, she is in her left. Therefore, you wouldn’t use “all the way on the right” on this expression.
