To me, is it possible to enjoy hockey in spite of everyone playing?

(By G.M.) 1. What is a good theory? Since many people played and scored, we lost the game.

If 2. I made mistakes in my assignment, I never realized what I’m wrong. In spite of playing good, we lost the game.

Which is better? How much better to use 2# to answer any question? In this sentence, I think just “everyone” and “we” are the

same?

What is your understanding of your two sentences?

In second sentence “Everyone” is implied due to “We”.

Do native speakers find your second sentence more convincing or longer? My game was ‘Despite playing well,

we lost’ in XI but the score was 59 point-less. Honestly the score stayed the same because it was an incredibly long score!

The OP is right; the latter sentence is better than the former sentence.

It seems that the phrase “in spite of” has been used as a conjunction in the former. If it’s so, the sentence isn’t grammatical. How do you say “in

spite of everyone played well, we lost the game”?

The fact that of, literally only after the phrase is correct: I lost

the result, we ended up losing. We had a really good game!

Why is it necessary to use the word “although” instead:

Although everyone really played well, we lost the

game with all the thugs.
