What are the best good sentences to say to someone leaving on a bad trip for the day?
If you know someone who’s going on a trip together and needs a break from work, then say something
like “Have a great trip” A colleague was going on a trip to visit his terminally ill mother. On his last day we talked briefly and I said “well, have a good trip” at the end of our conversation. I quickly realized this was inappropriate because he isn’t going there to have a good time.
What would be a great parting phrase for this situation? I wanted to express my deepest concern for his mother as well as wish him a great future. I
wish him well in his final days there, and wish him safe travel.
Is it wrong to say “take care of yourself”?
