Wherefore/whence (unintentionally) the wrong grammatical use of code (“a code was written”), is there proof?
What do I mean by code? Of course I’ve noticed that a seemingly increasing number of students now refer to the end result of programming to be “a code”, rather than “a program”, “a script”, or even “some code”. How do you add value in SI units?
The first use of the word code is I’d consider to be correct; the
second not. >> First data is then drawn to the density outputs. the results are then calculated. A new class of numbers are then written to get some results A new code was then written just to provide the density outputs I think this error is a new mistake that “kids these days” are making for some reason.

error that students are making, or have I just not hung out enough in the past to say really good, relevant things about programming? What is causing people to make that

mistake? As a kid, the use of the word “code” seems quite natural, but evidently it’s not (or is no longer) the same as at the same time.
What is the importance of social education?
In programming jargon the first use (“code was written”) is clearly correct while the second use (“New code was written”) is incorrect.
I suspect that this use of the word “code” is the strange one from a broader linguistic perspective.
If the word CSS codes (a collection of rules) is used in regular language, it is entirely correct to say “a code” (e.g. C) (e.g., C ++). The code consists of data, an example of software and program elements. Where is the source information? “a code of conduct”, “a building code”, “a code for telegraphic communication”)?
Which is a count noun where for ordinary use “code” is for mass?
