single word for ‘hospital’ and ‘clinic’.

I am developing a software that requires users to input hospital or clinic name. The software treats hospitals and clinics the same way. I needed a single word to describe any medical institution. I was trying to learn it for a year. I have started a company called HealthCareCare. There are 3 different businesses.

Examples use cases:

___ ___

In forms: Hospital/clinic name: ___ In URL: http://website.

If

you could use something like “Medical Facility” as blanket term for clinic, hospital, trauma center, nursing home, etc, I don’t like it because it’s big.

  1. Is this URL a good URL to use in front or back page, etc.? https://www.medical_facility-search.com/ (URL) com/medical_facility-search.com

Thank You. No is a perfectly acceptable answer.

In that case,’no’. If

you could use a single word (and I don’t see why two words are bad here) I would just use facility. In the context of a medical applicaion, it would be just as clear as medical facility.

In British English, meaning hospital: the

charitable institution for
the needy, aged, infirm, or young 2: that institution where the
sick or injured are given medical or surgical care —usually used without an article after a preposition I really doubt that your user is going

to say “Ah, darn it, they only deal with hospitals and I am looking for a clinic”. You could also make it clear that you are using hospital as a blanket word in the text of your web page.

What would be the benefits if hospital would not serve, facility or institution would serve? Your context seems to make it very clear that you are referring to medical institutions.

In English, the common English term would be Health care facility or facility, or any other word you like.

What’s the use of position or location?
