Interlinked system of factories / plants.

If I want to say that a holding company owns and operates a number of oil-processing plants, all interlinked in the business sense but spread across different locations, what words/phrases could I use? In Russian, we use the word complex, like complex of oil-processing plants, but in English complex seems to imply the presence of its elements at a single location or their physical connection ( complex of roads ) but not their connection in respect of product streams.

As one Russian dictionary suggests, “Complex of plants” (or even “complex of enterprises”) would sound and look strange to a native Idea speaker?

What are terms for a system, network? How possible is it for someone to write a paragraph ‘to prove O.K’?

“According to the plan, the Holding’s network/system of oil processing plants will process around 8 mn tonnes of crude next year. “what

is the correct answer to something I said that wasn’t true”?

I have a client who operates a couple dozen oil processing plants. After being told that the enterprise as a whole is an enterprise, the definition of the enterprise is system.

In their case, however, it actually is a system, integrated both horizontally and vertically. All the activities of all the facilities’-purchase of raw oilseed, board hedging, crushing, refining, packaging, sales, interstate and international transport, marketing, R&D, personnel, financing–are closely coordinated to align local capabilities and market bases with national and global markets.

So far, Centralization has been confined to a handful of financial functions, and each plant was operationally responsible for its own inputs and outputs, purchases and sales and transport even if the primary supplier or customer was another plant owned by the same corporation. In early 2000s the Centralization industry sprang into full swing; until nearly half of all electricity was sold at the hands of some other supplier. At that time the enterprise might have been better described as a network of related but more or less autonomous production facilities and economic divisions.

i really don’t understand clinging to the stock in a holding company, and therefore you don’t want to say anything about the well connected (or not) different businesses owned by that holding company might be, would I drop the world entirely? One would not even say that there will be some 7 mn

tonnes of crude next year at the new cling of the holding company. A new cling of the holding company is being built.

Is “Network” “Integrated” to me?
