What does a hardline call mean?

What is a hardline?

A commenter named Ed asked,

“I am very concerned as that was definitely our garage that slid into our Batavia.” My mother has a cordless phone but not for long when we have it, it’s not for phones. She doesn’t realize it’s not cordless. She is 65 and alone. We have not heard from her since 8:15 this morning. Is she afraid? CNN: “How is

A “hardline” phone is a phone that connects to another network by means of an artificial wire. Even if it is a “cordless phone”, because the base set connects to the phone grid via a physical wire, it can still be called a “hard-line” computer.

I am an introvert from the past. I just dated myself at work. I need to make that stuff up. Which were the ’80s or ’30s? Cells were pretty rare until the end? If we used the term “landline” already to refer to any phones whose signal went over copper wires, there is no such thing as a landline today. The term ‘hardline’ means a landline that was secure – but I think the hardline term came from the fact that in addition to the signal processing, the lines themselves were often carried in armored monitored cable sheaths. ‘call so and so’ and ‘call so and so on a hardline’ where the latter meant it was to be a secure conversation – of course back then we still thought triple DES was worth something ;-D.

“Hard Line” phone systems are just historical terminology for old using a physical twisted pair 24 AWG wiring to connect private, and commercial telephones to a central patch board (kind of like a Local PBX board) through overhead, and underground cabling. “Just think of everything being physically connected by wire, and the typical wireless item, back then, being the cordless handsets using tuners recognizing the bottom station on the desk or kitchen counter. Is a “hardline” phone a landline? What the truth is of the truth that most people don’t understand what it is. . .. When using a hardline phone (the line of the phone is fixed) it means that it is called a “hardline”. Hence the line is “hard”, or somehow someone managed to see the connection. How can I easily define “line of land”?

In context of the text you gave the speaker is saying that the old lady, uses a cordless phone. When the garage slid into the Batavia, she doesn’t know that it is actually a cordless and a landline, which meant that she would have lost contact with the world, as her telephone no longer works. But she does know that it is actually a cordless and a landline, which means that when she slid into the Batavia, the line was probably broken and she still has not talked about her house.

I think “Hardline” is a popular term, but maybe

Google Gnaps doesn’t really have the truth (also shows some graph)?
