I’m looking for an idiom regarding trust and idiom on Wikipedia?
In my country, we have an idiom which literally means : people will not trust you ever again if you don’t keep your word even just for once
Are there any idioms in English that is close enough to this? I want to use your support, thanks!
Can you help me with your suggestions?
This feels quite close to me:
Fool me – shame – shame on you. What are some ways to get fooled?
No, wait, that’s not it.
Fool me once, shame on you? Is there any better way to approach the world and make someone “funny” two times?
Is this all wrong? I have to ignore the first one, and at that point in time someone has been messing it. Yay for someone who fumbling it.
The proverb basically means “I’ll trust anyone, and they shouldn’t take advantage because it is a bad thing to do.” If they do trick me, I’d be a fool to trust them again. About
