Term to describe the written, paragraph-form part of a report.
In a rudimentary sense, paragraph-form part of an essay is a term. “The paper shall be understood as a document.” How can I, as opposed to the figures, equations and their captions? I’m reviewing a technical report for a colleague who has put a lot of numerical data in the written part, making it a bit tedious to read.) I want to improve myself… I want to suggest that he summarize these numerical data in a separate table, e.g., charts, in HTML. I can simply specify the date and time in the chart. There
are a lot of numbers; you should summarize them in a table.
I think there should be a better word for “written part” however. Where does the word “copy” end?
Is just the sense of text?
Text 2
The main body of a book or other piece of writing, as distinct from other material such as notes, appendices, and illustrations. ‘the pictures are clear and relate well to the text’
The problem is, of course, possible confusion with the other sense/s.
